Take a captivating tour through God’s chemical world. This 4 DVD set contains 19 individual, 20-45 minute chapters—11 hours total—examining the world of chemistry and the periodic table of the elements. Included on the fourth disc is a printable (PDF) guidebook with quizzes covering the material presented in each segment and a one-year high school course booklet.
This DVD course takes an often avoided and boring subject and makes it an exciting, easy to understand, visually rich experience. Chemistry 101 is geared toward ages 15 years and up but the images and graphics were carefully selected to make it interesting for the whole family. The film is full of accurate and fascinating information coupled with hundreds of eye-catching visuals and graphics. The Guidebook allows the student to easily review all the information covered in the films. Each guidebook segment includes a multiple choice quiz and discussion questions. A one-year high school course booklet is included for families who want a year-long chemistry course.
Chemistry 101 was developed and hosted by Wes Olson, Multnomah Bible College graduate, veteran filmmaker of 20 years, homeschooling father and producer of Biology 101. Wes guides you through the science of chemistry; untangling and decoding complex terms and ideas into an organized easy to use format. This DVD course will give your children a thorough overview of the world of chemistry.
This DVD course is an easy-to-use, understandable and visually rich curriculum designed specifically for ages 15 years and up, although my entire family enjoyed it and even our 8 year old understood a lot and paid attention. Here's how I use these DVD courses: Print off one guidebook for each student, which they will use in a fill-in-the-blank format after watching the DVD lesson. Also print off the quizzes and lab information. Put these in a binder, start the DVD, and you'll have a very complete and thrilling basic Physics course for every student in your family! Easy to understand and interesting. Far better than a textbook course!
Highly recommended!
