What is the difference between white rice and brown rice? All rice is brown rice, until it is processed to remove the outer coating. Here's the easy way I cook beans: Rinse beans and put (any amount of beans) into a pressure cooker. Add water so it stands 3" above the beans in the pot. Put lid on and heat over high heat. When pressure cooker comes to pressure and the pressure cock starts "rocking" steadily, then reduce the heat to medium high (keep it high enough to make the pressure gauge at 15 or the pressure cock rocking) and put your timer on 35 minutes.
